目前台湾警察使用的德国瓦尔特ppq m2手枪，手枪从2016年开始装备，中间历经波澜。
台湾2015年一4.5亿台币向德国瓦尔特公司采购了49600支。在使用过程中问题不断，出现多起枪支走火事件，以及部件脱落断裂故障。
这是一支前锋手枪，就是没有外露击锤的手枪。是一个采用聚合物框架的快速攻击手枪,手枪有三种口径，台湾警察采用的是9毫米，15发弹匣工单。ppq是警用快速防御手枪的缩写。
