1月31日消息，亚洲开发银行宣布，已任命萨法尔·帕尔韦兹（Safdar Parvez）为其驻中国代表处首席代表。帕尔韦兹上月获任后，现已抵京。作为驻中国代表处首席代表，他将监管亚行在华各项业务，包括贯彻落实以高质量、可持续绿色发展为重点的国别合作伙伴战略。
