11月2日，佛山市南海区里水镇安全生产委员会办公室发布通报称，至11月2日6时30分许，里水镇象岗岭森林火灾现场明火扑灭，未造成人员伤亡或被困。目前，各救援队伍正在进一步组织火场清理，加强区域性火情警戒防护，里水镇落实人员进行48小时看守，防止复燃。
