毛树棠（1779-1845），字荫南，武陟县木栾店人。清嘉庆二十二年（1817年）进士，授编修。道光四年大考，名列一等二名，晋侍读、侍读学士、大常寺、大理寺少卿詹事府詹事，署宗人府承，转内阁学士、礼部侍郎、户部右侍郎、总督仓场。并任广东乡试正考官，阅朝考拔贡卷，阅复试进士卷，还是比较著名的书法家。
