7月20日，据印尼当地媒体Katadat报道，德国汽车制造商大众汽车计划在印度尼西亚建设一个镍加工厂。当地时间7月18日，大众集团首席采购官乔格·特驰曼（Joerg Teichmann）在雅加达与印尼投资部长/投资协调委员会（BKPM）巴赫利尔Bahlil Lahadalia会面时透露了这一计划。
