During the three-day Dragon BoatFestival holiday from June 3 to 5, Jinan attracted large numbers of tourists who made 548,500 trips to the city's 27 attractions, bringing in a revenue of 18.86 million yuan ($2.83 million), according to local media.
These results show that the city's tourism has rebounded strongly after the COVID-19 pandemic, which is projected to hasten the local economy's recovery.

The annual public holiday has always been a time for entertainment, travel, and shopping. The Jinan government provided 1.12 million yuan in coupons to the public to encourage consumption, which contributed to people's spending in the cultural tourism industry to 2.69 million yuan.
Suburb camping trips are now entering the peak season as more and more people seek natural and tranquil scenery. The city's scenic spotssuch as the Paoma Mountain Scenic Area and Jiuru Mountain Scenic Area have organized a series of camping activities.
Urban leisure tours, parents-child tours and countryside travel became major choices during the holidays. The hotel industry in Jinan attracted 148,000 tourists, up 67.7 percent from last year's Dragon BoatFestival holiday.
