9月7日下午，著名民谣歌手、盲诗人周云蓬反映，他办理私人印章需要公证遇到了麻烦：他从小学的是盲文，不会写汉字，而公证处则要求必须用汉字签名，否则不能办理。
7日晚7时许，大理一家公证处工作人员电话回复极目新闻称，“此前可能因为沟通不畅导致误解，如果是视障人员办理私人印章公证的话，可以通过按手印的方式予以确认。”
