据”扬州发布“8月6日消息，扬州市新冠肺炎疫情防控工作指挥部发布《关于临时停办扬州站、扬州东站客运业务的通告(第17号)》，根据疫情防控需要，经扬州市新冠肺炎疫情防控工作指挥部研究，决定自2021年8月6日12时起，临时停办扬州站、扬州东站客运业务（关闭进出站通道），具体恢复时间另行通告。
