据潇湘晨报，12月21日，网传西藏航空TV9820南京至成都航班飞行过程中机长身体不适，由二机长上座接替飞行。航班落地后，机长被送往医院不治而亡。据红星新闻，12月23日，西藏航空相关负责人表示，领导已经安排相关的同事调查了解情况，后续应该会统一来解释这件事情。
