10月10日，王馨平发微博为父亲王羽报平安：“我的父亲安好，谢谢大家关心。”此前香港TVB演员马海伦在微博发文称演员、导演王羽去世。有媒体求证王羽女儿王馨平，她连声否认：“没有这样的事！没有这样的事！好多人这样传，没有这样的事啊。”马海伦后来也说：“原来未证实，自己都不好意思！”
