据外媒PCGamer报道，Frontier Developments宣布已从Games Workshop获得了根据热门桌游《战锤：西格玛时代》开发RTS游戏的许可。《时代纪元》是Games Workshop目前推出的热门桌游，是世界上最受欢迎的桌游游戏之一。
目前，Frontier Developments拥有根据《战锤：西格玛时代》为PC和游戏主机打造RTS作品的版权，并计划在2023财年（即截至2023年5月31日）发布游戏。
Frontier公司的CEO David Braben在一份声明中表示他对于获得授权一事非常兴奋，两家知名的英国游戏开发商能在一个新的项目中展开合作将会是一件很棒的事。
