1953-2002年间共计出产了11代车型。埃尔多拉多代表了当时美国的繁荣和奢靡，其基础售价比当时同类车型高出一倍以上，它是凯迪拉克乃至整个底特律城曾经生产过的外形最华丽、价格最昂贵的豪华敞篷车。
