"Today I'd like to talk about a piece of technology that I use almost every day — 嗯，怎么说呢，一个学语言的 App，不对，更像个…… a language-learning app on my phone, but honestly it feels more like a study buddy than just an app."

"It is, 嗯，我得先说清楚是什么。an app where I can practise speaking English by…… by talking to an AI. 对，就是跟 AI 对话练口语。I've been using it for, 让我想想，大概…… for about three months now, since I started preparing for the IELTS exam."

"What I like most is that it never gets impatient. 这个很重要，因为…… because when I make mistakes, it doesn't judge me — it just corrects me gently and we move on. 不像真人，跟真人说外语卡壳会有点尴尬，you know?"

"Let me give you an example. 嗯，前两天我描述一个…… a traditional thing from my hometown, 凉州，the ancient Liangzhou. I wanted to say '文化很丰富' but I said 'the culture is very rich' — 哎不对，这里其实可以更地道，应该说 'has a rich cultural heritage'. 嗯，app 马上给我纠了，还给了同义替换。"

"So why do I find it useful? 第一，随时能练，地铁上、睡前都行。Second, it fits my schedule — I can practise on the bus or right before bed. 第三，它把我的错误记下来，让我知道…… it keeps a record of my errors, so I know exactly which grammar points I keep messing up."

"Anyway, I'd say this little piece of technology has, 嗯，怎么说，changed the way I study. 它让练习不再是一个人闷头背，而是…… has turned solo study into something more like a conversation. That's why I find it truly useful."

语法笔记

• I've been using it for about three months — 现在完成进行时（have been + V-ing），强调从过去持续到现在、且仍在继续的动作；与 "I have used it for three months"（强调经历/结果）有细微语感差别。雅思口语用进行时更自然、更显"还在坚持"。
• since I started preparing for the IELTS exam — since + 过去动作/时间点，主句常用现在完成/完成进行时；注意 since 后接从句时，从句动词用过去式。
• it doesn't judge me — 一般现在时表习惯、恒常状态；口语讲习惯直接用一般现在时即可，不必每句都加 always。
• has a rich cultural heritage — heritage 是不可数名词，不能说 a heritages；"rich cultural heritage" 是雅思描述家乡/传统的高频地道搭配，比 "very rich culture" 更书面、更分。
• which grammar points I keep messing up — keep + V-ing 表"反复做某事"；mess up = 搞砸/弄错，口语生动，比 make mistakes 活泼，但偏随意，正式写作慎用。

• ❌ learn / improve my knowledge → ✅ broaden / expand / deepen my knowledge 或 gain knowledge（knowledge 不与 learn/improve 搭配）
• ❌ open the computer → ✅ turn on / boot up the computer
• ❌ I very like this app → ✅ I like this app very much / a lot（very 不能直接修饰 like）
• ❌ the culture is very rich（不算错但偏弱）→ ✅ has a rich cultural heritage / is culturally rich
