26日17时许，日喀则市公安局吉隆口岸分局8名民警抵达距离口岸1.5公里区域，展开搜救工作。
记者从西藏吉隆泥石流灾害救援指挥部27日上午召开的新闻发布会获悉，截至8月27日上午8时，成功搜救出热索村村民2人，排查发现遇难3人、失联558人。其中，外籍人员260人。
