英国警方表示，当地时间22日凌晨，英格兰东北部米德尔斯堡附近A66公路发生一起交通事故，一辆警车与一辆轿车相撞，造成多人死亡。
警方发言人表示，事故发生于当天凌晨3时39分左右。事故原因正在调查中，大量应急车辆已赶赴现场。由于事故影响，该路段将继续封闭。
