美国财政部长贝森特20日表示，特朗普政府将加大对伊朗经济施压，并威胁对伊朗实施“前所未有的经济孤立”措施。
贝森特当天在接受美国全国广播公司专访时，向所有美国盟友“喊话”，“我们要推翻这个政权”，并警告说要么与美国站在一起，要么与美国为敌。
