新华社北京8月15日电 据德国地球科学研究中心消息，格林尼治时间8月15日10时54分（北京时间8月15日18时54分），印度尼西亚北苏门答腊省发生6.8级地震，震中位于北纬2.98度、东经99.06度，震源深度168.5公里。
另据美国地质调查局地震信息网消息，此次地震为6.9级。
