8月11日，渔船从浙江省舟山市普陀区沈家门渔港出发，前往东海海域开启捕捞作业。受台风“白海豚”影响，原定于8月5日的东海开渔推迟。8月11日，浙江舟山数千艘单船桁杆拖网（桁杆拖虾）、笼壶类、刺网类、灯光围（敷）网类等四类（专项）特许捕捞作业渔船迎来了开渔季，船队结束休渔奔赴渔场投入生产。
