近日，强台风“白海豚”的外围下沉气流正为广东、香港等地带来普遍晴朗及极端酷热天气。
8月9日下午，香港多处地区气温达37℃或以上。截至8月9日下午3时30分，香港天文台总部录得最高气温36.9℃，是1884年开台有记录以来的最高气温。上水方面则录得最高气温39.8℃，是香港天文台自1980年设置自动气象站以来，在香港地区录得的最高纪录。
