7月28日，美国最大区域电网运营商PJM拟出台新规：最早于2027年中期，未能在容量市场拍卖到足够电力的数据中心，将在用电高峰时段被临时切断电力供应。
受数据中心扩张、极端高温影响，PJM电网瞬时负荷本月一度冲高至168吉瓦，刷新20年纪录。PJM计划于9月举行紧急拍卖以填补2028年6月起约7吉瓦/年的容量缺口。
