7月21日，根据海事分析公司Signal Group的报告，截至7月15日，霍尔木兹海峡周边共有728艘空载和满载油轮，其中空载油轮394艘，满载油轮334艘。高级市场分析师Maria Bertzeletou在周报中指出，波斯湾水域共有168艘空载油轮和175艘满载油轮。在霍尔木兹海峡以东的阿曼湾，共有226艘空载油轮和159艘满载油轮。自7月6日紧张局势再次升级以来，穿越霍尔木兹海峡、所有权信息透明的油轮占比已降至45%，而在临时和平协议期间这一比例为67%。
