文殊菩萨，佛教智慧第一的象征。身骑青狮，手持慧剑，斩断烦恼，威猛无比。顶结五髻，代表五种智慧，是十方诸佛之母，一切菩萨之师。其道场在清凉圣境五台山。常见的五字文殊形象，左手持莲花，上置般若经，寓意纯洁智慧。更有千臂千钵的稀有示现，每钵显现一尊释迦，彰显其福德智慧与佛无异。
