据RMC报道，法国总统马克龙在环法自行车赛探班时通过RMC话筒表示，如果法国队闯进7月20日在纽约进行的决赛，他会到场支持球队。
按照安排，法国队在达拉斯与西班牙争夺决赛席位，而7月14日国庆日临近，马克龙不会前往现场观看这场半决赛。2022年，马克龙曾现场观看世界杯半决赛和决赛。
