7月9日，美股三大股指高开，道指涨0.08%，标普500指数涨0.2%，纳指涨0.2%。明星科技股多数反弹，闪迪（SNDK.US）、美光科技（MU.US）涨超6%，康宁涨超8%，迈威尔科技（MRVL.US）涨超6%。应用材料股价上涨9.83%，总市值报4975亿美元；泛林集团股价上涨10.86%，总市值报4619亿美元。光通信概念股Lumentum盘初迅速拉升，涨近10%。
与此同时，美股软件股集体下挫，Servicenow跌3.4%，Adobe跌2.1%，Atlassian跌2.2%，Intuit跌2.3%，Applovin（APP.US）跌2%。
