据CCTV国际时讯，当地时间7月2日晚，委内瑞拉代总统罗德里格斯召开新闻发布会表示，委内瑞拉在地震发生后立即启动应急系统，震后搜救工作目前仍在持续。据罗德里格斯透露，重灾区拉瓜伊拉州几乎所有官员都在地震遇难。
