6月23日上午，福州长乐国际机场二跑道投运，标志着该机场由此迈入“双跑道时代”。同日，该机场获颁新版《运输机场使用许可证》，飞行区等级由4E提升至4F，成为福建省首座4F级机场。当天上午，福州往返荷兰阿姆斯特丹直飞航线也迎来首航。
