AutoFlight said on Monday that it had been selected for the first batch of projects under Hong Kong's Low-altitude Economy Regulatory Sandbox X program.
Four projects were chosen in the initial round, including two that will deploy AutoFlight's large electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
Under the framework overseen by Hong Kong's Working Group on Developing Low-altitude Economy, AutoFlight will work with partners including China Travel Tours Transportation Services H.K. Ltd and AECOM Asia Company Limited to carry out route planning, flight-parameter validation and end-to-end flight testing in phases across different operating scenarios in Hong Kong.
