所罗门群岛西部省前段时间遭受飓风重创，原本就薄弱的医疗体系也遭严重破坏，当地民众尤其是偏远社区居民面临“缺医、缺药”的困境。第五批援所罗门群岛中国医疗队主动响应，深入西部省吉佐岛等地，开展为期8天的巡回义诊活动。这也是医疗队今年3月到达该国后的第一次外岛义诊。
