近日，河北沧州南大港湿地迎来一群“湿地牧童”——牛背鹭。如今正值牛背鹭繁殖期，它们的头部、颈部及背部羽毛已“换上”明艳的橙黄色羽衣。它们是唯一不以鱼类为主食的鹭类，因常伴家畜啄食而被称为“湿地牧童”。
