公共陆地移动网络（Public Land Mobile Network，简称 PLMN），就是由基站，核心网等设备组成的，能让手机打电话，上网的网络。
我们可以用 PLMN 编号来标识这个网络到底是属于哪个国家，哪个运营商的，PLMN ID 由移动国家码和移动网络码组成。
中国的移动码是 460，中国移动的移动网络码有 00、02、04、07、08，中国联通是 01、06、09，中国电信是 03、05、11，中国广电是 15，中国铁路是 20。例如 46002，就表示这是中国移动的网络。
不过，在手机的左上角，这些编码都变成了“中国移动”“中国联通”这样的字。
