鹤峰站是沿江高铁海拔最高的站：鹤峰站轨顶海拔高度1357米，是全线海拔最高的车站。鹤峰站是线正下站，站台海拔1358米，站房海拔1340米，出站层海拔1334米。鹤峰站位于鹤峰县燕子镇清湖村，距县城25公里，紧邻屏山景区、董家河景区、五龙山水景区以及在建的芹草坪滑雪场。
