北京时间4月12日，在CBA常规赛焦点战“京沪大战”中，上海男篮客场88-83战胜北京北汽男篮，豪取19连胜。
此役过后，上海战绩来到34胜4负，在联赛还剩四轮的情况下提前锁定常规赛冠军（广厦即便追平战绩，但双方交锋战绩1-1，且上海男篮潜力赛成绩占优）。
值得一提的是，上海男篮上一次拿到常规赛冠军还是在2001-02赛季，那个赛季在姚明的带领下上海男篮最终队史首次夺得总冠军。
