丙午初春，驱车赴西营龙湾，访好友画家李光先生。其院植老梅一株，历三十余载，冠盖层叠，延袤数十米，铺盖石阶。时方盛放，繁花溢香，动人心怀。因戏呼先生为“梅翁”，先生亦欣然应之。归而余兴未已，遂作此诗。
梅翁髯兴自狷狂，
笑指阶前有余香。
任它虬枝横斜路，
闲舒慢展暗梳妆。
