马斯克当地时间3月18日发文称，AI5的性能将远超其规格，因为特斯拉的整个AI软件栈都旨在最大限度地利用每一条电路，AI软件和硬件是协同优化的。AI5主要针对Optimus和Robotaxi中的AI边缘计算进行了优化。马斯克称，AI5仍有巨大的提升空间。在相同的半晶圆面积和工艺节点下，单颗AI6芯片有望达到双SoC AI5的性能水平。
