据彭博社报道，世界第三大集装箱运输公司、法国的达飞海运集团已指示在波斯湾的船只立即避难，并暂停通过苏伊士运河。该公司在一份声明中表示：“苏伊士运河的通行已暂停，直至另行通知，船只将改道好望角。”
声明还称，将联系客户告知可能的替代港口详情。苏伊士运河管理局在非工作时间未予置评。
