2月22日，受强降雪、大风天气影响，内蒙古锡林郭勒盟多地出现风吹雪天气，气温降至零下25℃，局部地区瞬时风力达10级，能见度不足10米。锡林郭勒盟境内多条道路有车辆和人员被困风雪中，无法脱险，当地消防救援部门接警后，立即赶赴现场进行救援。
