近日，菲律宾一名美食博主艾玛·阿米特为博眼球，食用有毒 “魔鬼蟹” 后不幸身亡。这名美食博主和朋友在巴拉望省普林塞萨港市自家附近的红树林中采集贝类。视频中她用椰奶炖煮海螺等海鲜并食用。次日，她因蟹类体内的剧毒毒素突发重病、抽搐送医，后病情恶化昏迷，嘴唇呈深蓝色。医护人员全力抢救未果，她于食用海鲜两天后离世。（齐鲁晚报）
