据彭博社记者马克·古尔曼报道，苹果计划在不久的将来推出新款 iPad 和 iPad Air。
古尔曼在今天的“Power On”新闻简报中解释说，新款 iPad “即将到来”，其中包括一款新的入门级 iPad 和一款新的 iPad Air。预计这两款设备在外观设计方面不会有重大变化，而是专注于新的芯片。
第 12 代 iPad 将搭载 A18 芯片，而第 8 代 iPad Air 则将搭载 M4 芯片。据悉，iPad mini 将是今年唯一一款获得较大升级的新款 iPad，它将采用 OLED 显示屏。
对于 iPad 而言，新芯片或许最为重要，因为它将首次支持 Apple Intelligence 技术。苹果公司于 2025 年 3 月发布了搭载 A16 芯片的第 11 代 iPad，该芯片不支持 Apple Intelligence 技术，尽管当时这项技术已广泛应用于苹果的其他设备。
iPad 在假日季销量强劲，主要得益于入门级机型的畅销。据称，苹果计划大力向企业客户推广新款 iPad。
