2月5日，中国电信宣布，已于近日正式获得工业和信息化部北斗三号短报文公众应用商用实验的批复。业务正式推出后，广大用户将可在中国电信营业厅、中国电信APP申请体验，“不换卡、不换号”即可享受北斗短信服务。中国电信表示，未来还将推出北斗语音消息、“5G+北斗”高精定位等应用服务。
