吡啶及其衍生物通过芳香亲核取代 (S N Ar) 在缺电子位置进行氨基化的反应被称为 Chichibabin反应 。此反应也广泛应用于许多吖嗪类和唑类的缺电子位置的氨基化，如喹啉的2位&4位，异喹啉1位，吖啶的9位， 菲啶的6位，喹唑啉的4位氨基化。分子间和分子内都可以进行此反应，但研究主要集中在分子间反应。
