1月23日1时34分，中国海警接海南省三沙市海上搜救中心通报，一艘外籍货轮在中国黄岩岛西北55海里处倾覆，船上共有21名菲律宾籍船员。事发后，中国海警立即派遣2艘海警舰赴失事海域展开搜救，截至18时，已救起17人，其中15人生命体征稳定，2人不幸遇难。目前，救援行动仍在紧张进行。
