《山海经》中“豹尾虎齿”的西王母和王母娘娘到底是不是同一人？汉代时，西王母被尊为阴阳体系中象征“阴”的至高女神，常与代表“阳”的东王公并称，共构仙界阴阳平衡秩序。而到了唐宋时期，由于道教文化流变，东王公的形象逐渐淡化，西王母便逐渐演化民间熟知的“王母娘娘”了。
