年底，暴雪发表2025年年鉴，总结2025年游戏内容，分享有趣数据。其中在探索赛季服，也就是Plus服的部分，写到“我们正在着手规划《魔兽世界》经典版的长期未来……”(we got cooking on the long-term future of WoW Classic... ")，图片的右侧画着几个加号。由于Plus服已停更，这也被认为是暴雪正在开发新的经典+内容，也就是Plus2.0的暗示，如果一切顺利，可能明年的暴雪嘉年华就会官宣。
