日本航天企业SPACE ONE当地时间12月15日宣布，明年2月25日上午11点，将从和歌山县串本町的民用火箭发射场“Space Port纪伊”发射该公司小型火箭“KAIROS”3号机。
“KAIROS”1号机于2024年3月发射，但因对飞行推进力的预测出现误差，在发射后约5秒爆炸。同年12月发射的2号机因传感器等故障导致机体姿态失衡、执行自毁。高度虽达到约110公里，但未能将卫星送入轨道。
SPACE ONE成立于2018年，由IHI AEROSPACE等企业共同出资。
