北京时间12月3日，据记者Jake Fischer报道，联盟消息人士透露，休斯顿火箭计划与泰勒-史密斯签下一份双向合同。消息人士还表示，火箭将裁掉双向球员凯文-哈里斯。
泰勒-史密斯是2024年的次轮秀（33顺位），上赛季共代表雄鹿出战23场比赛，在场均5.3分钟的上场时间里，他可以得到2.9分1.1篮板的数据。
