据彭博社，Tether Holdings SA 计划大幅扩展其在大宗商品交易贷款领域的业务，继向该领域提供约 15 亿美元信贷后，进一步增加融资。Tether 首席执行官 Paolo Ardoino 表示，该公司计划加大对石油、棉花、小麦等大宗商品交易的融资支持，已通过美元和其 USDT 稳定币进行贷款。Tether 的大宗商品贷款业务隶属于其贸易融资部门，与其为稳定币提供的储备分开。
