On November 10, the main arch of the Tuojiang Grand Bridge on the Chengdu–Chongqing Central High-Speed Railway was successfully closed after three hours of precise lifting. Located in Jianyang, Sichuan, the 1,252-meter bridge features a 320-meter steel tubular concrete arch. It is the world’s first thrust-free composite arch bridge, creating a stable, self-balancing structure and offering a new model for bridge engineering.(Photo by Wang Longhua)
