·电影《肖申克的救赎》中，主人公安迪被执行了“关禁闭”惩罚，其精神一度濒临崩溃。事实上这就是一种“感官剥夺”惩罚，对于受罚者来说，甚至比鞭笞更具威慑。
·我们吃饭时，“手拿筷子”的触觉、“眼睛观察饭菜”的视觉、“鼻子嗅饭香”的嗅觉……这些感觉的传播介质和速度都不一样，甚至差别很大，但我们竟然觉得这些感觉是同时发生的，这其实也是大脑的一个小小骗局~
