据新华社，马尔代夫卫生部11月1日宣布，当天起对出生于2007年1月1日及以后的人员实施“世代禁烟令”，禁令适用范围包括外国游客。 根据新规，2007年1月1日及以后出生的人在马尔代夫境内不得购买和使用各类烟草制品，零售商也不得向该群体售卖任何烟草制品，交易前需核实购买者出生日期。这项禁令对马尔代夫公民和外国游客均适用。（东方视频 俞霖）
