定州博物馆内，还有平时看不到的“隐藏”文物：清代木刻版，共计31000多块。它们的主人叫王灏，是清代咸丰时期的举人，也是当时定州的首富。
这些木刻板刻有直隶地区自秦汉至清末的乡邦文献，保存在了王家后院的十间瓦房里。当时的直隶总督李鸿章还赐了一块匾，题写了四个大字“畿南文献”。
如今，它们被保存在定州博物馆的书库“畿辅丛书”里。
